This isn’t the album we had anticipated. Things got complicated. We made it work. We played outside, ran long extension cords to plug everything in. We stood far apart, practiced at home, collaborated in the way that people who love something do. Gigs were scarce and we got lucky—really lucky. This record is the result of Dave’s technological brilliance, straight serendipity, and one particularly cloudy day at an Arts Fair in Radnor. Originally livestreamed, Hot Jazz for Hard Times is a mastered live album of some of the highlights of that adventure. We hope that it brightens your spirit!

Parlour Noir is an eclectic ensemble focused on traditional jazz music. Since 2017, the band continues to grow and evolve with new members and voices. For this particular record:
